Adrian, Casey and Jax are a delightful young family who are excited to be planning their future at Donnybrae after purchasing a house and land package in October 2020.
Adrian is a mechanical plumber and installs air conditioners and heaters: “I keep you warm in winter and cool in summer!” he jokes.
Casey is a registered nurse who has just completed her graduate year at the Royal Children’s Hospital, and her son Jax, has just turned three.
As first home buyers, they cite unbeatable offers as the irresistible carrot that enticed them to choose Donnybrae for their future home.
“None of the other developments could match Donnybrae’s offers, especially when they were combined with the First Home Buyer Grant and the house and land package,” beams Adrian, who is clearly thrilled at the prospect of owning their own home.
While the decision to buy in Donnybrae was relatively easy, slightly more challenging was selecting the right block of land.
“We actually changed our mind about which block of land to purchase several times before making the final commitment because it was determined by which house we wanted,” Adrian explains.
“Our house and land package is with Simonds Homes. We just wanted a single-storey house that had a nice homely feel - a place we could look forward to going home to at night - but there were so many different options available! They recommended designs to make it easier to find one we liked and gave us plenty of options. They were always willing to help.”
Considering it was their first home, Adrian says they found the process of buying the house and land package surprisingly easy and acknowledged Liliana, Donnybrae’s Sales Consultant, for ensuring the whole process was kept simple and proceeded smoothly.
“I thought it was going to be much harder. Liliana was so helpful and wanted us to feel really comfortable with the lot we chose and the decision we were making. The hardest thing was dealing with our expectations around what we wanted verses our budget,” Adrian recalls.
“We are currently living with Casey’s parents in Hurstbridge,” Adrian continues. “The land isn’t due to title for another 12-18months, so we will be able to save some more money before settlement.”
While Adrian’s work takes him to different locations on a daily basis, Adrian believes Donnybrae is ideally located for Casey’s work.
“Casey will enjoy the accessibility of Donnybrook station or being able to drive straight down the Hume Highway to the city.”
“It will also be great to be able to jump on the train whenever we want to go out in the city.”
As an active family – Adrian has a passion for distance running and footy and Casey used to compete at a high level in calisthenics - Donnybrae’s fresh air and open space will be perfect. And no doubt Jax will enjoy making lots of new friends at Donnybrae’s local park.
“We wanted a place where we will have parks and everything Jax and our children need in the future,” Adrian states. “There are lots of major amenities planned for the local areas, including tertiary education institutions. We will have everything our family needs nearby.”
“I feel like Donnybrae is going to be a really nice little community. We looked at some other estates but this just felt right.”
