National Volunteer Week (18–25 May) is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the people who generously give their time, energy and skills to strengthen our communities.
Across Victoria and around Australia, volunteers play a vital role in supporting local sports clubs, emergency services, animal rescue groups, health organisations, charities and community programs.
Their contribution helps create stronger, more connected neighbourhoods and improves the lives of countless people every day.
This year’s National Volunteer Week campaign encourages Australians to recognise the value of volunteering and the positive impact it has on communities and individuals alike.
Whether it’s helping at local events, supporting vulnerable people, caring for animals or mentoring young people, every volunteer effort makes a difference.
If you’re interested in volunteering locally, a great place to start is by contacting one of the many past Donnybrae Community Fund recipients listed below.
These organisations deliver important community programs and may have opportunities for people looking to get involved and give back.
Please note that not all community groups may be looking for volunteers at this time. Please contact the individual groups directly to enquire about opportunities.
